Burmese python can grow up to 23 ft in length and weigh up to 200 lbs with girth as big as a telephone pole.
Burmese pythons are excellent swimmers. They can stay submerged under water for up to 30 minutes before surfacing for air.
Burmese pythons have poor eyesight, so they hunt using chemical receptors in their tongues and heat-sensors along their jaws. They have stretchy ligaments in their jaws that allow them to swallow all their food whole. They survive on small mammals and birds for their diet.
